Crestron launches Collab Compute, your latest unified communications platform
Enterprise-grade performance, Advanced AV integration and an AI-ready Windows OS represent the main features of Collab Compute, collaboration platform that Crestron will be presented in society within the framework of WHEREAS 2026 (3 – 6 February, Barcelona Fair).
Collab Compute is positioned as the “core” of the collaboration experience in corporate environments by combining a powerful computing power, a wide AV connectivity and a optimized design and integrated for easy management and scalability. As highlighted Joel Mulpeter, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Crestron, The tool provides organizations with a “standardized, future-ready foundation” by supporting collaboration based on “artificial intelligence”.
The company's latest solution is built around a processor Intel Core Ultra with unit neural processing (NPU) integrated. In this way, third-party collaboration platforms, as Microsoft Teams Rooms and the software Zoom Rooms, with features like auto-framing, identification of interlocutors, Real-time transcription and AI-enhanced meeting experiences, will be based on a sustained local processing that traditional room PCs and legacy devices often struggle to support efficiently.
Collab Compute will be prepared to execute these third-party collaboration platform capabilities. In fact, the solution is in the certification process to run native Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms software on the Windows operating system, also allowing advanced room designs that go far beyond basic lectures.
Connectivity for professional audiovisual applications
Unlike general purpose computing devices, Collab Compute is designed specifically for professional audiovisual applications. The spacious entrances and exits, which include terminals DM Essentials, HDMI, USB-C and multi-network support, allow integration with distributed audio systems, multi-camera systems, multi-screen configurations and room automation.
Its integrated format, with built-in power supply and tool-free mounting with brackets, simplifies installation. This integrated design allows IT teams and integrators to implement standardized solutions faster, while maintaining the flexibility to accommodate varying room layouts and infrastructure requirements.
At the same time, Collab Compute supports a wide range of cameras, microphones, speakers and control interfaces, allowing organizations to tailor each room to their unique requirements, while maintaining consistency across implementations, whether updating an existing space or designing a new environment from scratch. Multiple display outputs support immersive and multi-screen designs, while BYOD presentations and conferencing give users the flexibility they need to share content.
In addition, for IT teams, Collab Compute integrates with technology operations management platform XiO Cloud, Microsoft Teams Pro Management y Zoom Device Management (ZDM), which allows provisioning, Remote monitoring and management of thousands of systems from a single platform.
