Equipson Musicson Purchase Acquisition

Musicson, Spanish speaker and professional audio solutions manufacturer, becomes part of the group Equipson, a strategic move that will allow the company to expand the development of its large format loudspeakers.

Recognized for its wide range of large format acoustic enclosures, Musicson stands out for being the “only brand in the world” that uses wooden waveguides, which gives your products a warm and natural sound. Also manufactures its own speakers and compression drivers, allowing you to maintain full control over your most critical components.

The strategic acquisition allows Equipson to expand the development of its large format speakers by leveraging the legacy and extensive experience in Musicson manufacturing and R&D. Besides, reaffirms Equipson's commitment to creating high-quality professional audio products manufactured entirely in Spain.

In the words of Juan José Vila, CEO of Equipson: “This acquisition fits perfectly with Equipson's long-term plan to invest in personnel, the infrastructure and technology needed to create high-quality, effective solutions for the professional audio market. Before founding Equipson, my father, Jose Luis Vila, He was commercial director of Musicson for more than 30 years. As family businesses, “both are known for their high level of customer service and their commitment to offering comprehensive and immediate support service.”.

Based in Valencia, Musicson was founded in 1965 by Joaquín Benavent Pérez with the aim of developing professional sound equipment of the highest quality. The company, which has its own engineering departments, carpentry and electronics, will transfer all its employees to new facilities located next to those of Equipson. Additional staff will also be hired to boost production and manufacturing of its range of solutions, including sound systems for applications such as concert halls, direct, tours, festivals and auditoriums to theaters, clubs, bars and restaurants.

Joaquín Benavent Díaz (founder's son), until now CEO and key figure in acoustic design and R&D, will remain linked to Musicson. It will also be part of this stage Ana Benavent, Musicson Brand Director, who states that “as the granddaughter of the founder of Musicson and daughter of its CEO, I am very excited about this acquisition, which represents a new chapter for the company. I'm sure that, as part of the Equipson Group, We will be able to take this legendary brand into the future without compromising the passion for authentic sound”.

A new brand identity has already been created for Musicson, which will soon be followed by the launch of a new website. Those interested will be able to learn more details about the movement within the framework of WHEREAS 2026 (3 – 6 February, Barcelona Fair).
