LEA Professional connects more than 100 schools under the same sound architecture
A major Northern Virginia school district (EE. UU.) with more than 100 schools have the integrator Artistic Concepts Group to standardize your sound systems with the Connect series of LEA.
The northern eastern part of the state of Virginia houses one of the public school systems largest in the state, attending to tens of thousands of students in more than 100 centers. In order to continue improving their infrastructure, educational centers proposed homogenize the audio systems of its different spaces, whether they were outdoor stands, dining rooms or common spaces. The system was to be based on red, reliable and easy to control both from a central location or remotely.
To effectively manage your many schools, The school district decided to undertake the renovation in different phases in collaboration with Elspeth McCormick, project developer Artistic Concepts Group. “There was a wide variety of spaces to adapt, from auditoriums with powerful audio systems already installed to gyms and cafeterias with little or no equipment. LEA has one of the strongest ranges of amplifiers in the sector, so it was natural for us to recommend them”, explains the person in charge.
LEA in Virginia's educational ecosystem
ACG installed a variety of series amplifiers LEA Connect to meet the diverse needs of school district spaces, including various models of the series Connect 352, the series Connect 354 and the series Connect 702. Models CS352 and CS354 are power amplifiers. 2 y 4 canales, respectively, that provide 350 watts per channel, while the model 2 CS702 channels offers 700 watts per channel.
All Connect Series amplifiers are professional-grade, IoT-enabled smart solutions., suitable for installations of any size. They are compatible with both Hi-Z (70 In Fr 100 V) as with Lo-Z, selectable by channel, eliminating the need for separate systems to manage different speaker impedances, while streamlining installations and reducing equipment costs. The Connect series also includes DSP a 96 kHz as standard feature, providing a number of benefits that greatly improve audio performance and system versatility.
The ACG technical team used the free software SharkWare LEA to configure a base profile and apply it to all LEA speakers. SharkWare includes features such as amplifier grouping, offline design, granular user access control levels, locked speaker settings and a graphic equalizer. The tool also allows users to monitor the status of all amplifiers connected to the network, as well as the status and performance of individual channels. Besides, he software allows users view and adjust channel settings, including input settings, the signal generator, the crossover, the equalizer, limiter and load monitoring.
The series Connect also offers a family of professional amplifiers that features cloud connectivity: LEA Cloud. with her, Integrators like ACG can remotely control and monitor amplifiers from anywhere, at any time and no subscription model.
Today, explains the LEA itself, school staff show satisfied with the performance of the solutions, sometimes even offering “greater flexibility” in teachers' teaching methods. McCormick, who has supervised the project first-hand, summarize your experience: “The design of the LEA amplifiers is excellent. We often have limited space in our existing equipment racks, and LEA amplifiers help us and our customers save valuable space, sometimes allowing us to even avoid the purchase of a larger rack. Besides, We highly value the LEA support team. They always answer the phone, They know the audiovisual sector very well beyond LEA products, and we know LEA will provide us with support to keep our customers' systems running efficiently. For these reasons and many more, We will definitely use LEA amplifiers for this customer in the future., as well as for many others!”.
