NEC Display shows the potential of its laser projection range for the installation market
The manufacturer has held a practical day in its Demo Room in Madrid, with the assistance of about forty professionals from the distribution sector and clients from Spain and Portugal, to present its complete range of laser projection, spanning from 5.000 until 12.000 lumens in different technologies (LCD, DLP, DLP 3chip), for application in the installation and rental markets.
Professionals in the audiovisual distribution sector, como Tech Data Maverick, Ingram Micro, Crambo or the Portuguese Esistemas (HQ), and clients from the Iberian market have attended the laser projection day of NEC Display Solutions, with a full capacity of the Demo Room that the manufacturer has in Madrid, to learn in detail and test the new professional models with laser light source, as well as its entire portfolio with this technology.
The event was attended by Gerd Kaiser, senior product line manager large venue projectors de NEC Display Solutions Europe (in the image below), who has explained the advantages and associated benefits of the company's laser light source projectors to offer maximum performance in permanent installations in museums, higher education, large corporations, digital signage, as well as for rent on stages, theaters, events, etc.
Among other benefits to opt for NEC laser projection, Kaiser has highlighted that “laser light is the light source of the future. These devices do not require any lamp replacement., with a durability of more than 20.000 hours, which results in zero maintenance; to which is added an exceptional and real range of colors, maximum performance in brightness and features and connectivity to promote collaboration, with a low TCO”.
Before testing the projectors on display in the Demo Room, Carlos Rojo field sales engineer at NEC Display Solutions, He detailed to the attendees the technical characteristics of some of these models, like the new PX602UL, a DLP laser installation projector 6.000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 10.000:1, especially suitable for large spaces, since it has multimedia and professional functions with remote control to work from any device.
For this, and like other models presented, This system integrates the free NaViSet Administrator multi-display management software 2, that allows you to manage all connected display devices from a single point (up to sixteen at a time).
Rojo also underlined the long durability of the lamp, from up to 20.000 hours, “with a significantly lower lighting decay curve than other systems on the market”. PX602 AM, as well as the PX602 WL model (is of 5.000 lumens) They integrate a chip to work with 4K input source, as well as HDBaseT, HDMI and DisplayPort technology to ensure maximum connectivity. Both models are available in black and white “to adapt to the interior design of any facility.”, to which is added its flexibility to work horizontally and vertically”.
Also with DLP technology, The high-end PX800 installation projector has double lamps to offer 8.000 lumens of brightness with XGA resolution and contrast ratio of 2100:1 in facilities with high professional performance, with edge blending function
With a luminosity of 12.000 lumens and contrast ratio 10000:1, the NEC PH1202HL laser installation projector, with 3DLP technology, It offers great longevity in use since it does not require any lamp replacement, “and has super protection against dust (with NEC patented heat exchanger and sealed optical engine) to address the challenging large venue environment, rent, etc”, Red points out.
Bayonet Wide Angle Lens Selection, 3D support, Vertical and horizontal target shift and emulation control codes, These are other features of this model to guarantee a hassle-free 360º installation and the replacement of old installation projectors.. Besides, integra interfaces 4K, HDMI and HDBaseT signal output, Built-in signal splitter and overlapping capability to project large images without external devices.
The PiP feature allows content from other sources, like mobile devices, also displayed on screen to encourage collaboration, as well as save presentations on said devices, just as those attending the day did.
With a smaller and more compact design with 3DLP technology, the laser phosphor installation projector with 4K resolution (4.096×2.160p) PH1201QL, of 12.000 lumens and contrast ratio 2000:1, “is the result of NEC Display's digital cinema experience, Full-featured for easy integration into any installation, like Lens Memory, that stores different screen formats in memory, image enlargement or reduction, etc.).
