The dLive system, composed of the S7000 control surface and a MixRack DM64, is managed, from the same console, both the FOH as monitors. "The availability of more FX and more buses made it the choice arguably for this tour. Allen & Heath delivers the best digital Preamps for direct, best Dynamics processors and the best built-in FX engines,"said Oscar Söderlund, sound engineer and owner of Parashoot.
'When I´m Free,' the latest album by Ane Brun, which is the central theme of this tour, used more lines than percussion based on loops and more electronic instruments. The configuration of the system includes 11 stereo mixes for monitoring aural intra, auxiliary 4 mono, analog delay and a mixture for cradle of monitoring, 14 FX, 57 channels, 12 groups DCA, 2 stereo groups, 2 groups mono, 2 stereo matrices and 2 mono matrices.
"The latency of the system is extremely low, and the surface is very fast." You can go from one stereo channel to one mono immediately without losing audio, and appears very small when you have 12 × 3 channel faders. I also like the option of recording and playback USB, since it gives the opportunity to record groups or independent channels, Preamplifiers and external a/b comparisons, and puncture reverbs and delays in the solo voice,"continuous Söderlund.
The recording of the proceedings has been made through a Dante card inserted into the control surface, plus a MADI card incorporated into MixRack to have shipments and offer any retransmission signal.
