AMX presents its own Television Distribution System (TDS)
AMX presents a line of products for the transmission of digital television content via Ethernet over a multicast-enabled local network (multi-cast), as an alternative to dedicated coaxial cables. This solution requires no additional coding, which translates into greater speed when delivering digital TV video compared to other systems.
AMX has announced the commercialization of a new Television Distribution System (TDS), a line of products for the transmission of digital television content via Ethernet over a multicast-enabled local network (multi-cast), as opposed to dedicated coaxial cables. AMX TDS is an easy-to-deploy digital TV solution. AMX DTV transmitters send a full MPEG2 stream transport, which may include several individual channels of live programming, to DTV receivers located on TV screens. DTV transmitters and receivers also send control information over the same Ethernet network for centralized management and control of displays. AMX DTV receivers are available in high definition and standard definition models.. Users of this Television Distribution System can take advantage of the existing local network in the building, and cabling infrastructure, to carry out content distribution, which will considerably reduce the installation. Besides, to eliminate as much as possible wiring in the installation, AMX DTV receivers receive both the content, the control, like power over a single Ethernet cable, This, together with its compact and lightweight size, makes it easy to assemble., hidden from the viewer's view. The AMX system integrates seamlessly with other AMX technologies such as NetLinx control and Resource Management Suite, with which you can control, program and monitor the digital TV network within a home or establishment. This allows current AMX control system users an easy way to implement an integrated digital TV solution..
No additional coding Other features that stand out in AMX DTVs are, on the one hand, that do not require additional coding, resulting in faster delivery of digital TV video than most other systems, and on the other hand the breadth of signal formats that it supports, like DVB-T, DVB-S y QAM/ATSC. The equipment that is part of this new TDS family is: el DTV-TX01-DVB-T, Dual Tuner Transmitter for Digital Video Broadcasting, land, over Ethernet with multicast; el DTV-TX02-DVB-S, 2 tuner transmitters, via satellite, for Digital video broadcasting over Ethernet with multicast; el DTV-TX03-US, ClearQAM and ATSC single tuner transmitter over Ethernet with multicast; the DTV-RX01-SD, standard definition receiver over Ethernet, with infrared and integrated control as standard; el DTV-RX02-SD, high definition receiver over ethernet, with infrared and integrated control as standard; and the DTV-RC01, IR remote control. The AMX TDS system will be available in Spanish territory starting in May 2010.
