NEAT Group positions itself as a benchmark in the socio-health sector
The recent acquisition of the Australian company TeleMedCare positions the group of companies specialized in technology applied to healthcare environments and private security, NEAT Group, as a reference for the socio-health sector both in Spain, as in the international arena.
The purchase of the Australian company TeleMedCare means for the NEAT Group enter Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and United States, although the company already has subsidiaries in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and Chile and is present in 24 countries. Adolfo Tamames, president of the NEAT Group, has manifested: “We define ourselves as a Spanish company with an international vocation. Our commitment to the socio-health field – so far from the traditional sectors in Spain such as construction or tourism – is not allowing us to position ourselves as much within our country, as experts in a sector of broad expansion due to the cost savings that current concepts such as telemedicine or telecare entail.".
TeleMedCare offers telemonitoring solutions for patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity or COPD, to improve your care and quality of life. It is a turnkey system where it is included from the device, connection to the system, maintenance and integration with databases. It is specially designed for use by healthcare personnel at home - telecare companies- or in clinics, hospitals and nursing homes.
The TeleMedCare device stands out for its ease of use, its compact and ergonomic design. It has a large touch screen that guides the person in its operation. It is multi-user and includes biometric recognition through the user's fingerprint. It also has integrated vital signs measurement mechanisms such as: blood pressure monitor, thermometer, electrocardiograph, spirometer, pulse oximeter, scale and glucometer, plus others that can be added.
The TeleMedCare system has a personalized agenda for each user where their medication is remembered., visits to health centers and/or specialists and even a health test that can be completed by the patient. Patient information is available remotely through the NEAT Group service management platform, from which both health personnel, and the patient can access the data from any location and securely.
With the recent acquisition, NEAT Group expects to invoice in 2011 around 16 million euros, adding the income of all its divisions, but he expects the health division to bring in revenues of 12 million in the next three years and it is estimated that for the next 5 years TeleHealth products will mean more than 50% of the entire group's billing. In United Kingdom, The United States and Canada are already carrying out telemedicine projects, both in public administration, as in private companies. “The acquisition of TeleMedCare fits within the company's strategy by integrating with its socio-health care platform and places us in the world of telemedicine by having the most advanced TeleHealth solution on the market”, adds the top person in charge of the company.
