MuxLab, designer and manufacturer of security video and audio-video connectivity solutions for copper twisted pair, has added the passive HDMI Extender kit to its AV connectivity portfolio, with applications in the digital signage sector.

MuxLab has a new product in its AV connectivity portfolio: Passive HDMI Extender Kit. Developed for the custom residential and commercial AV market, This kit allows you to replace an HDMI cable with two twisted pair Cat5e/6 cables without the need for external power. The product supports 1080p resolution up to 30 m via Cat5e cable and works with 1080p at 45 m via Cat cable 6.

The passive HDMI extender incorporates micro-controller technology that maximizes distance when connected to equipment 1080p color depth for more versatile cabling.

The passive HDMI Extender kit is molded around a shielded metal case for added robustness, includes a transmitter and receiver and comes with a two-year warranty. The product includes an 8-inch cable″ and complies with HDMI standards 1.4, HDMI 3D y FCC Clase A.

The Passive HDMI Extender Kit simplifies cabling in applications such as: home theater, digital signage, boardroom projection systems and classroom training systems.
