Aragón will have an ICT Demonstration Center with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment
The Technological Institute of Aragon and the public business entity Red.es have signed an agreement for the creation of the Walqa Technology Park, in Huesca (Aragon) of a Public Demonstration Center of Information and Communications Technologies for the Audiovisual Sector. in this space, which will be managed by the National Audiovisual Demonstration Center, Interested ICT companies will be able to show potential technology users to companies, in a practical way, technological products and services aimed at improving your productivity and competitiveness. Additionally, will serve as a meeting point between innovation and the needs of companies.
A pioneering center in Spain will provide companies in the audiovisual sector with the possibility of developing their projects with state-of-the-art equipment to which they do not usually have access due to its high cost., one of the promoters of the project has informed Efe. This is a space provided by the National Demonstration Center for Audiovisual Technologies and financed by the Technological Institute of Aragon. (ITA) and the company Red.es, belonging to the Ministry of Industry, which will open its doors in January at the Walqa Technology Park, in Huesca. The objective of this center is to bring companies closer to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (TICs) within the framework of the Avanza Plan.
With financing that exceeds two million euros, This center will have an interactive multi-platform area, multiple video conference room, virtual reality tools, 3D and 2k projectors, and graphic computing devices among other services.
Fifty companies from all over the country have been consulted about their needs before making this equipment available to the sector. “specific” in some “very advantageous conditions”, The head of the ITA multimedia technologies group explained to Efe, Diego Romero. “Companies do not usually have access to this type of technology due to its high cost and that is why we provide it to them.. It is oriented to the entire creation value chain, distribution and consumption of audiovisual content”, Romero has pointed out.
Even before its opening, more than ten companies, among which are telecommunications operators and television component manufacturers, have requested to use these services. According to Romero, This number of companies will increase once inaugurated, since it is about “single” center in Spain with these characteristics.
“A production company will be able to show its clients the short film in the 3D projection room without having to spend money on renting a cinema. You can come here, and they will only have to pay for the electricity, water or technician hours, but not the latest generation equipment”, Romero has assured.
