Christie LX501 and Christie LX601i projectors, that have made their debut at the National Association of Broadcasters fair (NAB) from las vegas, set a benchmark in the 3LCD market with a hybrid filter of 20.000 hours and an intuitive LCD display menu.

Christie presented at the NAB fair 2012 that is being held in Las Vegas (EU) the new LX501 and LX601i projectors. The two projectors are the first offerings from a new 3LCD product platform. The Christie LX501 is an XGA projector (resolution of 1024 x 768) of 5.000 lumens with a contrast ratio of up to 3000:1 and is designed for small and medium-sized scenarios in corporate environments, higher education and government agencies.

Frank Anzures, senior product manager of Christie's Business Products division, has commented: “This new platform introduces two new products that offer customers solutions that meet both budgetary and professional needs., without compromising functionality, and with four additional widescreen options coming soon”.

With this new 3LCD platform, Christie is also introducing a hybrid filter with no moving parts capable of up to 20.000 hours, reducing the need to change filters frequently, and with long-lasting lamps ranging from 3.000 at 4.000 hours in eco mode (2.500-3.000 hours in standard mode), reducing the cost of ownership.

Both the Christie LX501 and Christie LX601i have the ability to be used at high altitudes (until 3.048 metros). “At the highest elevations, “3LCD projectors typically cannot cool properly and are at risk of shutting down.”, Anzures has added. "However, with the altitude capabilities of this line of projectors, “Customers in high-altitude regions can rest assured choosing any of these models.”

New platform allows end users to monitor, control and send messages to network projectors. “This functionality provides organizations the ability to send important information – such as emergency alerts – simultaneously to everyone on the network”, Anzures added.

In addition to providing easier third-party integration with Crestron RoomView and AMX Device Discovery, Christie LX501 and Christie LX601i also include DICOM Simulation Mode (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) for use in medical training environments.
