The power of the screen in contemporary culture is the theme of the exhibition 'Global Screen’ presented by the San Telmo Museum in San Sebastián, an active exhibition that has already been seen in Barcelona and that consists of a virtual platform and a co-creation project through a large strip-screen of 150 meters that exhibit the audiovisual discourse proposed by the commissioners and the audiovisual response of the users.

The powers of the screen have taken over all spaces of everyday life: cine, television, computers, smart phones, digital tablets, surveillance screens… He San Telmo Museum of San Sebastián welcomes until next 30 September the Global Screen exhibition, based on the book of the same name by Gilles Lipovetsky and Jean Serroy, curators of the exhibition together with Andrés Hispano, which is about the importance and power of the screen in today's world. The exhibition is co-produced by the San Telmo museum and the Center de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB).

In a statement, Donostia Kultura has indicated that citizens can participate in this initiative by creating and sharing videos on 'http://pantallaglobal.cccb.org/es/participa’. Participants will be able to win tickets to the 60th edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Besides, His videos will be part of the exhibition 'Global Screen', based on the book of the same name by Gilles Lipovetsky and Jean Serroy, curators of the exhibition together with Andrés Hispano.

The objective of Global Screen is to show the power of the screen in all its aspects: seduction, show, creation of archetypes and models, information, interactivity, surveillance… Some powers that, with technological advances, are renewed from the initial format, that of the big cinema screen, until reaching the current proliferation of screens. Screens present everywhere and at all times that allow you to see and do everything. For this, in the San Telmo Museum, a large strip-screen of 150 meters shows the audiovisual speech proposed by the commissioners. Opposite this is the counterfield, the audiovisual response of users.
