Qatar National Convention Center supports real-time video streaming with Visionary Solutions

El Qatar National Convention Center, symbol of sustainable architecture, has opted for AVN220 and AVN443HD encoding solutions from Visionary Solutions, offering great energy efficiency and high-quality video streaming.

Visionary Solutions has announced that the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) a Doha, Qatar, has chosen the AVN220 and AVN443HD encoders to support the cost-effective transmission of real-time SD and HD video and audio signals during live events and conferences.. Taking advantage of the great performance and high quality of H.264 encoding, low upfront cost, and the power saving capabilities of AVN encoders, QNCC is able to offer innovative AV services in one of the first public venues in the world built to the Energy and Environment Design standard (LEED) Gold Certification del Green Building Council de los EE.UU.

The QNCC has elected Light Theater, AV system designer and integrator for easy installation. Working with Svetlost Teatar, QNCC engineers have seamlessly integrated AVN coding systems into the facility's IP network, without the need for any additional infrastructure for AV transport, which has reduced operating expenses. Low power consumption

QNCC is using AVN220 encoders to compress SD video into MPEG-2 signals in real time. Besides, AVN443HD encoders deliver a full-frame SD or HD IP video stream with standard H.264 hardware compression and optimized streaming technology. Each encoder consumes less than 5 watts of power and dissipates heat efficiently, without sacrificing performance or video quality, making it the ideal option for QNCC green technology facilities.

The AVN220 and AVN443HD are housed on the MPP1700 multimedia processing platform., offering a high-density rackmount chassis with an optional dual-redundant power supply. It is capable of storing up to 17 single slot encoder blades, or a combination of double and single slot blades.
