Havells-Sylvania presents a new range of efficient lighting products
The provider of professional and architectural lighting solutions, Havells-Sylvania, has brought to market a series of microwave sensors and PIR sensors within its new line of lighting control systems.
Following the recent launch of its new business unit based on lighting control systems, Havells-Sylvania has added to its catalog of lighting products (Concord, Lumiance y Sylvania) a new line of independent presence detectors and sensors. “Companies currently have three fundamental challenges where control systems actively participate.: carbon reduction, cost savings and compliance with current legislation”, Eduardo Fuentes commented, Commercial General Director of Havells – Sylvania Spain. “Leaving lights on in empty spaces or spaces properly illuminated by daylight, can cost the company a large amount of money. For this reason, Installing light and presence sensors helps reduce energy costs by up to 60%. The upcoming specific legislation on this topic reinforces this aspect, and that is why we believe that it is time to include sensors in all lighting systems.”
Havells-Sylvania microwave sensors and PIR sensors can operate in two ways: with presence detection, The lights automatically turn on when a person enters a room and will automatically turn off after a predefined time interval when no motion is detected. This circumstance makes them the ideal solution for hallways, meeting rooms or warehouses.. Besides, with the detection of the absence, lights must be manually activated, but they turn off automatically, which is perfect for classroom and office environments.
The problems that traditional sensors had of false turning off when a room was still in use have been solved by two independently adjustable sensitivity levels: one sensitivity setting for the room in which occupancy has been detected and another setting for empty spaces.
The new range of Havells detectors – Sylvania has the ability to dim lighting systems analogically or using DALI Diming.. Microwave PIR detectors are available depending on project requirements.
