The storage solutions provider, Iomega, has launched the new network video recorder StorCenter Network Video Recorder, offering reliable, easy-to-use video security surveillance storage combined with video management software, and comes in two- and four-drive desktop models that use server-grade hard drives that can reach 12 TB.
Iomega has presented the new network video recorder Iomega StorCenter Network Video Recorder, an integrated, customized set of video security surveillance network storage and management solutions, Designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses and distributed enterprises. Iomega's new StorCenter NVR products are designed especially for the video surveillance industry and its customers. Features such as connection to a VGA monitor for live local playback of security video, and a streamlined setup process enhance Iomega's anti-theft capabilities. The Iomega StorCenter NVR family includes a fully featured model with two disk drives, as well as partially and fully equipped models that reach 12 TB of network storage. Each Iomega StorCenter NVR includes either four or eight camera licenses (depending on the model). The new Iomega StorCenter NVR has all the features of Iomega desktop network storage devices, including EMC's LifeLine operating system, as well as storage capacity on a local network or in the cloud, that enhance the functionality of custom video surveillance.
The new Iomega StorCenter NVR will be available in three versions: a two-drive model equipped with two server-grade hard drives 2 TB to give a total of 4 TB total storage capacity; a four-drive model partially equipped with two server-grade disks 3 TB that give a total of 6 TB total storage capacity; and a fully loaded four-drive model with four server-grade drives. 3 TB giving a total of 12TB of storage capacity. The models of 4 TB and 6 TB include four camera licenses each; the model of 12 TB includes eight camera licenses. Each device supports up to 16 cameras.
Integrated video management software SecureMind Surveillance Manager expands the Iomega StorCenter NVR to a feature-packed video surveillance device. The Iomega StorCenter NVR offers multi-channel live monitoring, Video recording and fast video playback with multiple IP cameras (cameras are not included). With built-in storage capacity, Archiving and retention functions are exceptional for use in video surveillance. The Iomega StorCenter NVR is expandable by adding more hard drives to the partially equipped four-drive model, or additional Iomega network storage drives to an infrastructure.
