Panasonic has taken advantage of CEATEC Japan 2012, the largest technology fair in the country of the Rising Sun, to show off its latest addition to the portable projector category. As published by the website Engadget.com, The main feature of this laser projector 100 lumens is not the resolution or quality of the projected image, but the thickness of the unit itself.
Panasonic claims its new laser projector is the thinnest in the world, with only 7,5 mm thickness. The Japanese firm has also indicated that for now it is only a prototype and that there are plans to continue reducing the size of the components to be able to use it with smartphones and mobile phones..
The model shown at CEATEC achieves images with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and does not require focus (light does not pass through an LCD filter, as it is emitted through an individual laser beam).
