Si Performer de Soundcraft, first digital table that combines audio and total lighting control by DMX
Soundcraft has the new Si Performer digital console, designed on the already well-known Si Compact range, with which it shares a design, but providing almost double the DSP power and increased functionality, with a capacity of up to 80 inputs for combination in all models, adding lighting control options thanks to integrated DMX functionality.
Soundcraft, brand belonging to the group Harman distributed in Spain by Earpro, presented the new Si Performer digital table at the SIA Conference that the distributor recently organized in Barcelona: the first to combine audio and full DMX lighting control, allowing you to manage multiple functions from a single device. Soundcraft's new Si Performer series offers integrators and event companies the ability to dramatically improve the performance and efficiency of a facility, while managing to save costs.
The Si Performer series features 80 audio inputs for mixing on all models. The Si Performer model 2 contributes 24 mic with eight line inputs and Si Performer model 3, 32 mic and eight line inputs, plus four FX return channels. By having two optional card slots, Allows expansion via any of the Soundcraft stageboxes and optional cards from the Soundcraft ViSi Connect range, offering the possibility of patching up to 80 inputs to mix, also through CobraNet, AVIOM o AES, using the appropriate cards.
Unique integration of a DMX512 port offers basic lighting control. The first version of the software offers four scene masters (AD) with associated slave channels in the ALT fader layers. Individual color intensity or color parameters are set on the slave faders with a master fader at the overall level, which can be assigned to any of the main fader layers for simultaneous access to audio and lighting levels. To automate the process, DMX settings can be stored alongside audio settings in the system snapshot, to automatically recall them with the push of a button or via an external MIDI command. With selective isolation, Snapshots can be canceled with just changes to the audio or lighting parameters .
The new Si Performer includes an equalizer 4 Fully parametric banding as standard on all input channels (as usual in the entire Soundcraft digital range) and BSS graphic EQs on all send outputs. Also, as a novelty, Incorporates standard compressor and delay filters on all inputs and outputs. Unlike many other digital consoles that are in the same price range, all this processing will always be fully available, since there is no type of limitation when it comes to the amount of DSP that is in use.
High flexibility
The Si Performer allows fourteen mixers to be configured in various mono and stereo combinations for a total of 20 mix buses, which is perfect for combining in-ears and wedges in a monitor situation. These buses are complemented by four stereo matrix combinations, four dedicated FX buses and three master mix sends, offering true mixing in LCR mode and achieving an extraordinarily powerful bus structure.
The user will also be able to enjoy the incorporation of eight VCA groups and eight mute groups., showing the absolute power of this new console manufactured by Soundcraft. Besides, Each channel includes a custom LCD screen to display IDs such as channel name, assignments, Graphic EQ frequencies and DMX data, plus signal measurement. To add operability, The Si Performer can be controlled with the Soundcraft ViSi Remote app for iPad, as already happens in the Soundcraft Vi and Si Compact series.
Keith Watson, Director of Marketing Mixing at Harman Professional, has manifested: “There is a wide variety of markets, including conference centers, hotels, small auditoriums… where one person is often depended on to handle all technical operations, like sound and lighting. The integration of audio and lighting offered by the Si Performer in a single console, not only saves money and space, but it is much more manageable for the operator. With its unique user interface, We also managed to reduce the space and necessary infrastructure”.
