Earpro offers the new STX800 series of passive speakers from JBL Professional

The Harman group company JBL Professional has launched the new STX800 series of portable passive speakers., Designed to bridge the gap between low-power portable PA speakers and full-size touring line array sound systems.

Earpro, official distributor of JBL Pro in Spain and Portugal, has presented the new STX800 series of JBL portable passive speakers. This series has been designed to complement the current offering between lightweight PA equipment and complete touring systems.. It is perfect for equipment rental companies, groups, mobile equipment, fixed installations and, It is even ideal as a side fill device or floor monitor. The six passive speaker models of the STX800 series combine excellent sound quality with a very resistant construction, designed for frequent use with high power capacity and full integration with Crown VRack V5 amplification systems and Harman JBL HiQnet Performance Manager software.

JBL STX800 series includes the following models:

– STX812M full range enclosure with speaker 12 inches 2 ways.

– STX815M full range enclosure with speaker 15 inches 2 ways.

– STX825 full range enclosure with 2 speakers 15 inches 2 ways.

– STX835 full range enclosure with 2 speakers 15 inches 3 ways.

– STX818S: subwoofer enclosure with speaker 18 inches,

– STX828S: subwoofer enclosure with 2 speakers 18 inches.

The STX812M and STX815M can be used for both floor monitors, on a tripod or on a subwoofer. Both have a waveguide of 70 x 70º to obtain precise and focused coverage. With its wide frequency range and wide angle coverage 90 x 50º, The STX825 is ideal as a first PA system for groups or as a side boost speaker (side fill) at a concert or as an enclosure to be installed in a nightclub or concert hall.

The JBL STX835 model is intended for full-range use in stand-alone applications or as a stacked floor-top passive enclosure in high-performance environments.. The STX835 is designed to sit above the STX828 subwoofer. Its 'horn-loaded' mids and waveguide 60 x40º high frequency allow with just two STX835 to cover large spaces.

Despite being very compact, The STX818S subwoofer with an 18” speaker can deliver up to 1,000W of continuous power and is ready to install M20 mast supports.. For applications requiring massive amounts of bass, The STX828 dual 18” subwoofer can deliver up to 2,000W of continuous power, 4Kw in 4kW program and up to 8kW in peaks.

To offer such a level of performance, STX800 series speakers use the company's most advanced technologies, including the CMCD tapered midrange compression driver (Cone Midrange Compression Driver) patented by JBL, providing ultra-low midrange distortion, a high sensitivity, extended bandwidth and improved phase coherence. High frequencies are well controlled by a titanium diaphragm 3 inches of 2432H or by one of 4 2453H inches. Neodymium Compression Motor Magnet, operating in conjunction with progressive transition waveguides (PT) patented by JBL, offers consistent directionality and smooth response, even in large spaces. The STX800 series features the latest evolution of ventilation for cooling JBL speakers (Vented Gap Cooling): super ventilation technology for cooling (Super Vented Gap Technology) offers better heat dissipation, to provide greater power with minimal dynamic compression.

JBL STX800 Series Offers Many Installation Options. All models (except subwoofers) incorporate M10 suspension points. Wheel kits available for STX818S and STX828S subwoofers. STX800 series models are constructed of adbeul/poplar plywood and covered with DuraFlex material, featuring highly resistant and acoustically transparent grilles.
