Bosch updates its Bosch Video Client software with new features
Bosch Security Systems has updated its Bosch Video Client software, a Windows application to view recorded and live video from networked cameras, offering several enhancements to give customers greater control over their video systems. A new automated tracking feature constantly monitors motion scenes and automatically tracks moving objects within the camera's range.
Bosch Security Systems has announced the latest version of Bosch Video Client, an easy-to-use free software package that simplifies security surveillance and video recording tasks. Bosch Video Client 1.4 (BVC) offers a large number of improvements, including improved search and support for advanced features of Bosch IP cameras, to give you greater control over your video system. The new version also supports ONVIF cameras and an expanded range of storage solutions.
With the version 1.4, forensic searches can be performed for Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) and thus benefit from the new automatic tracking function in the AutoDome Series 700 y 800. Smart Tracking uses the AutoDome's built-in IVA feature to constantly monitor moving scenes and automatically track moving objects within the camera's range.. You can set conditions that instantly trigger tracking or click on a moving object within the live video to trigger tracking. The software also includes support for areas of interest in live and recorded video. This allows you to zoom in on specific areas of the image and transmit a second, separate stream., therefore the complete scene and in detail can be displayed at the same time.
Up to two monitors can be used to enhance viewing and assign live camera footage to cameos on the second monitor. BVC allows live video viewing of up to 20 standard definition cameras (SD), high definition (HD) or megapixel cameras simultaneously and features a cameo visual adaptation that dynamically changes to support the format 16:9 of HD cameras. Live camera footage can also be viewed on a Monitor Wall.
More storage solutions
The BVC is compatible with Bosch IP cameras and ONVIF cameras 1.02 3rd party S profile when used with DLA arrays and Bosch Video Streaming Gateway. It is also compatible with a wide range of storage solutions to meet different budget and recording time needs.. At BVC you can play recordings from devices with “Recording at the Edge” technology stored on Secure Digital cards. (SD) o Compact Flash (CF) for a very affordable IP video system. Other solutions include Bosch Recording Station, DVR series 400, 600 y 700, DLA arrangements, DiBos and Video Recording Manager v2.30 enabling the use of DSA E-Series iSCSI Disk Arrays. On-demand recording to local PC hard drive can also be enabled for easy export of video to any storage media, including network locations.
Bosch Video Client is easy to install and configure and intuitive to use. A simple Setup Wizard takes you step-by-step through installation. Cameras can be quickly configured for the most common lighting conditions, allowing individual adjustments to obtain optimized results for any particular scene. Favorite views can be defined and named by each user for easy access, offering one-click viewing of required cameras. Software allows control of PTZ cameras with a mouse and IntuKey series keyboards simultaneously. PTZ control function for cameras with limited bandwidth has also been added to the new version.
Bosch Video Client is free up to 16 video channels, A license can be purchased to increase up to 128 canales. It is ideal for small and medium surveillance applications, including stores, banks, transportation and commercial buildings.
