Indra designs an urban platform to manage the services provided by cities
Indra has designed the Atenea platform, a solution designed to integrate and manage all the services and solutions that make up the ecosystem of a city, so that the exchange of information between the different areas of activity of the city and the definition of behavioral patterns to adjust services to real needs is facilitated..
The technological multinational Indra has developed an Urban Interoperability Platform (Uap) para integrar y gestionar todos los servicios y soluciones que conforman el ecosistema de una ciudad. This large management center makes it easy for different systems to exchange information with each other to provide a complete view of the activity.. This integration of the city's activity translates into greater efficiency in the provision of services, as well as an improvement in their quality, thanks to the best coordination of available resources.
Athena, name given to the platform, It also includes analysis tools to predict the city's behaviors. (citizens, facilities, traffic, etc) in relation to the use of services to better and proactively adapt them to real needs. The platform brings together Indra's knowledge in the management of citizen services, since it integrates all areas of activity in the city such as mobility, infrastructure management, security and emergencies, environment, and government. It also includes all the company's experience in the development of other solutions designed to interconnect the different information systems implemented in environments that meet the requirements of smart cities.. It is the case, For example, of urban traffic control systems, security in emergencies or electronic administration and health, junto a otras tecnologías de la compañía fruto de proyectos de I+D+i.
The Atenea solution from the technology multinational has been designed with two different and complementary approaches.. On the one hand, It has been developed from Indra's Hermes system, which makes it easier for mobility management centers to monitor the different subsystems and continuously monitor the evolution of traffic and public transport, applying priority or managing intermodality with different modes such as bus or public bicycle.
On the other hand, está basada en los más recientes resultados obtenidos en el programa europeos de I+D+i SOFIA (Smart Objects For Intelligent Applications) in which Indra has actively participated. This “open source” service integration middelware is based on semantic web technology, interoperability and intelligent sensor networks that allow the home automation of cities and their ecosystem (citizens, buildings, cars, facilities,…), as well as provide intelligent and personalized services through any type of device, for example smartphones.
Indra's Urban Platform is positioned as an integrating center where information from three large system modules converges: the measurement and sensorization equipment deployed throughout the city, the service management modules that coordinate with each other to offer global solutions to the city and, finally, city analysis systems (control centers, analytics and dashboards), que recogen información de los anteriores subsistemas para ofrecer información crítica para la gestión de la ciudad.
