SIM2 offers the new Sirio 3D DLP projector
High-performance digital projector maker SIM2 takes viewing experience to the next level with launch of Sirio, a high-brightness, single-chip 3D DLP projector that transforms any large room into a high-performance, high-tech system.
SIM2 has brought to market a new high-brightness single-chip 3D-active DLP projector for large media rooms that have a lot of ambient light. The new Sirio projector is powered by a 350W double lamp system that provides very high brightness images (until 6.000 ANSI lumens) and high contrast (until 6.000:1), without the screen reflections typical of flat panels.
Sirio is available with a choice of two different SIM2 color wheels: SIM2color and SIM2shine, each designed to offer optimal performance in color and brightness. Sirio incorporates PureMovie user modes, PureAction, and PureAction 3D and Calibration software 2.0 for SIM2 advanced vivid colors,. A wide range of connection possibilities is available, including: HDMI 1.4 and LAN inputs.
Systems integration is another of Sirio's strong points, integrating perfectly into any room thanks to a selection of 5 lenses available: a lens 0.77:1 fixed and others 4 lenses that cover a wide band of 1.21-6.97:1. It has motorized optical displacement both horizontally and vertically and there are memories of the shift, zoom and focus adjustment to enable easy anamorphic projection without external lenses.
Sirio connection options include an RJ-45 connector (Ethernet o LAN) and a USB port that incorporates a special wireless USB adapter. These control ports allow:
• Easy integration with home automation control systems that use IP addressable control
• Projector control over IP
• Remote control and serviceability
Alan Roser, director general de SIM2 UK, has pointed out: “Sirio has been designed to complement the current SIM2 range by providing additional solutions to the real world challenges that installers have to face.. Sirio delivers large images in lighting environments without the screen reflections typical of flat panels. Two-piece projection systems provide a large image that can disappear when not in use and provide a wealth of customization and calibration options, which are not only possible on a flat panel, for spaces as varied as sports, movies, 3D and games, all optimized for both day and night viewing.”
