Altasens and Stretch develop a new WDR for CMOS sensors for video surveillance
High-sensing, subsidiary of JVC Kenwood founded in 2004, and Stretch will collaborate in the development of a new Wide Dynamic Range process unit concept (WDR).
High-sensing y Stretch have announced a strategic partnership between both companies and their new plans to launch a new Wide Dynamic Range process unit concept (WDR). The solution for 30 fps will be available in September 2013, which will be followed by a module of 60 fps by end of 2013.
Altasens presented a demonstration of the applications of the new WDR at the ISC West fair 2013 which was recently held in Las Vegas.
Yutaka (Jake) Onodera, Executive Vice President and Acting CEO of Altasens, has highlighted that “with the combined synergies and technical capabilities of Altasens and Stretch. I am looking forward to developing new turnkey solutions for the security industry., videoconferencing and the medical market”.
For your part, Craig Lytle, president and CEO of Stretch, has been delighted “work with Altasens to provide its exclusive Extended Dynamic Range technology (WDR) for the video surveillance market in a module that will greatly shorten the time to market for any IP camera”.
High-sensing, a subsidiary owned by JVC Kenwood, was founded in 2004 and since then it has become a pioneering brand in imaging technology for HD and CMOS sensors with Wide Dynamic Range. (WDR). Altasens products can be found at the heart of many high-end cameras manufactured for a multitude of applications., including video conferencing, medical image, telepresence, video surveillance, industrial use, TV and cinematography.
