Biometric video surveillance takes a new dimension with BioSurveillance Next from Herta Security
The new version of facial recognition video surveillance from Herta Security, BioSurveillance Next, is able to process 150 frames per second. This will be presented at the IFSEC fair 2013.
Herta Security will attend the international security fair IFSEC, which will be celebrated from 13 al 16 May in Birmingham (United Kingdom), with its BioSurveillance Next video surveillance solution. This is a new version that improves the functionalities of the previous one but continues to base its operation on facial recognition. The system uses video surveillance cameras to detect faces, even if they are on the move and at a distance, and without requiring collaboration from the user.
BioSurveillance Next is capable of processing in real time, live or recorded video in high definition at a speed of 150 frames per second and, for it, uses the latest GPU technology. Can be integrated with CCTV systems, video management (VMS) e, even, can work autonomously.
This development by Herta Security, spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), It is capable of detecting faces even if they are partially hidden by the use of glasses, scarves or caps. It is highly scalable and is very useful in environments where there are a large number of people, like airports, subway or train stations, shopping centers, sports stadiums or urban centers, since it is capable of simultaneously identifying multiple moving faces.
