SICUR renews its Organizing Committee with the appointment of Luis del Corral as president
The president of Asepal, Luis del Corral, has assumed the presidency of the SICUR Organizing Committee, the comprehensive security contest organized by IFEMA, which will take place 25 al 28 February 2014 at Madrid Fair.
The nineteenth edition of SICUR, International security exhibition, has renewed its organizing committee with the appointment of Luis del Corral, president of the Association of Personal Protective Equipment Companies (Asepal), as its president, replacing Antonio Ávila, president of the Spanish Association of security companies (AES), who happens to occupy one of the three vice-presidencies of the fair, representing the Security sector.
The new SICUR organizing committee 2014 is completed in the second and third vice-presidencies with the appointments of Vicente Mans, president of Tecnifuego/Aespi, and Ángel Córdoba, precision of the Approacher, respectively.
The next SICUR edition, competition organized by IFEMA, will be held at the Madrid Fair 25 al 28 February 2014. The presidency of the Organizing Committee occurs in accordance with the rotating nature of the position, which Antonio Ávila has held for two editions, now at the head of one of the vice presidencies, and what Luis del Corral assumes from now on.
With extensive experience in the security sector, The president of Asepal was a founding member of this association in 1989 and has held the presidency on two other occasions., also lending his collaboration to SICUR as a member of the Organizing Committee.
Luis del Corral is also director of the Oroel Group and Construcciones Oroel, company founded in 1980 specialized in protective and work clothing and one of the fair's veteran exhibitors, in which he participated for the first time in the year 1984.
The newly formed SICUR Organizing Committee, which also has the support and collaboration of the main representative associations of this industry, professionals, public security bodies and forces, will work on defining the actions to be developed for the edition of 2014, around fire safety areas, Occupational safety – SICUR ProLabor, y Security.
SICUR, biennial reference event for the security sector in the European calendar, ended its last edition with the participation of 1.233 companies (524 direct) and received a visit from 38.840 professionals from eighty countries. Added to this is the first edition of the contest in Latin America, organized by IFEMA and FISA at the beginning of last April in Santiago de Chile.
