Sony deploys its DWX digital wireless audio solution at the Dresden State Operetta and TJG theater
Sony's DWX digital wireless audio system has been the chosen option for the State Operetta and the TJG theater in the German city of Dresden, which will be expanded to 48 broadcast channels when both centers are in their new joint headquarters.
The remodeling of the power plant in the German city of Dresden into a new cultural center that will be the new headquarters of the Staatsperette (Dresden State Operetta) and the theater of the city's youth generation TJG, which will also welcome companies from a wide variety of creative industries, has counted on Sony to implement a new digital audio transmission system.
As part of the initial update, which will be carried out in different phases, the owners of the center have acquired 32 Sony DWX audio channels, that will be expanded with the same number of channels when the work on the new location is completed.
Since its foundation in 1949, The TJG theater has been a reference in the cultural sphere of Dresden, mainly for young people and children, with theater shows, puppets and theater academy, as well as more than six hundred performances planned throughout the year on three different stages.
To its central location with the Staatsperette, which is scheduled for 2016, It was necessary to update its audio transmission technology, since “both the TJG and the Staatsoperette were experiencing increasing LTE signal interference and, therefore, it was necessary to invest in new equipment, and we decided to jointly invest in the acquisition of the Sony DWX system, which is a powerful and reliable option, with the latest technological features, which allows us to look forward to the digital future with peace of mind”, explica Lutz Hofmann, technical director of the TJG theater.
For this project in the German city of Dresden, Sony has had HL Audio Sales, sales partner for the audio and creative software divisions, and with the company Elektroakustik Neuenhagen GmbH, which has already been supplied 16 channels to the TJG and 32 channels from the DWX system to the Staatsoperette Dresden, which will be expanded to include other 42 canals at the new location of the old power station.
This installation for both centers presents the opportunity for all radio links to work together in harmony without experiencing interference.
