The Jakarta-Cikampek toll highway in Indonesia has a comprehensive security system based on Vivotek. The cameras have been located in the toll areas in order to better monitor the vehicles.
The company PT Jasa Marga (Persero) was established in 1978 by the Government of Indonesia to plan, build, operate and maintain all toll roads in the country. Today it works as a toll road operator and developer.
Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is a toll road 73 kilometers stretching from East Jakarta to Cikampek (Karawang – Java Occidental). At the beginning of this year , PT Jasa Marga embarked on a project to improve the quality of video surveillance images and, for it, needed a digital system and opted for Vivotek. In this way, Seventy Vivotek IP8335H one-megapixel cameras connected to the network were installed. Its objective was to monitor traffic.
These cameras are prepared for the environment in which they have been located, able to withstand harsh weather conditions and cope with difficult lighting conditions but ensuring good video quality.
IP8335H cameras are designed with WDR Pro function and are weather resistant (IP67). Thanks to the WDR Pro function and in high contrast lighting environments, the camera can transmit video of similar quality to that of the human eye by capturing both light and dark parts, allowing two frames to be combined to generate a highly accurate original scene .
Besides, The IP8335H incorporates a P-iris lens, It controls the iris with extreme precision using a built-in motor and keeps the aperture at an optimal size at all times, which results in great superior sharpness and depth of field.
