Matrox Graphics Extio takes advantage of KVM optical extension technology to control up to eight displays

Matrox Graphics Extio Series KVM Optical Extenders enable control of two to eight displays in environments requiring data security and low heat emissions.

Matrox Graphics Extio Series is a solution specially developed for application in environments that require data security, low heat emissions, quiet operation and more space to work.

This solution takes advantage of PCI Express bus extension technology, as it separates the input and output devices of the computer and controls multiple monitors remotely to offer a user experience at the same level as if working at the user's desktop.

The Extio series is made up of three models, depending on the number of additional screens. The Extio F2208 optical KVM extender is the solution for two additional point-to-point displays, since it separates the peripherals and screens from the rest of the PC using a fiber optic cable of up to 1 Km of length.

Matrox KVM technology extends the bus using a PCIe bus interface card, while the optical connection guarantees performance by eliminating frame loss or hiding, data latency and distortions inherent to compression-based solutions.

Extio F2408 is a Quad KVM optical extender whose difference from the previous one is the control of up to four screens. The fiber optic connection (also of 1 Km.) Allows sending of uncompressed Raw data between the remote host system and the Extio F2408 user application, offering greater support for HD resolutions and better workstation performance, in sectors that require stable graphics, reliable and scalable.

This solution can be combined with the optional Extio F2408E Expander tool to manage up to eight displays, with a maximum resolution of 2,560x .600 by display, from a single workstation and with a single fiber optic cable (of 5 m.) and a single adapter.

This solution also allows you to use the extra space and make the most of it, since for installations where several monitors are needed, two four-display Extio KVM extenders along with expanders support up to sixteen remote monitors from a single system with two fiber optic cables.
