Digital Dream is the name that the Parisian shopping center Les 4 Temps has given its digital signage installation, composed of more than 250 m² of LED panels from the international operator DooH Clear Channel, that surround the three floors of its main area (known as the place du Dôme) in order to improve the visual and informative communication of its visitors and as a means of promotion for advertisers.

K-array Digital DreamTo welcome visitors, the main hall of Les 4 Temps has a large digital LED module in vertical format, surrounded by the rest of the visual panels located on the sinuous balustrades of the three floors of the place du Dôme, to offer an immersive experience, visual and entertaining to more than 46 visitors who visit this shopping center annually and have placed it at the head of this type of facilities in Western Europe.

In order to complete this immersive experience for visitors, One of the elements that we wanted to promote in this Clear Channel proposal was the audio system of the digital signage network., which is not at all easy when it comes to large spaces with quite noisy environments., in which the message transmitted must be intelligible and pleasant.

Besides, Another of the challenges of the audio system for the dimensions of this digital signage network was to offer uniform coverage on the three floors of the shopping center., but with special care on the third floor, where the restaurants are located and the volume of the speakers should not interfere with conversations at the tables.

K-array Digital DreamThe solution to respond to these needs has been the sound systems of the Italian manufacturer K-array, supplied by your dealer Sennheiser in France and installed by Audio Vidéo Installation (AVI).

Six KP102 composite passive speakers were assembled for this project., with vertical sound dispersion, on the sides of the vertical LED module that presides over the place del Dôme, completed with two KMT18p systems for low frequencies, with which it has been possible to offer uniform coverage, clear and intelligible sound, and almost invisible to visitors and in the aesthetics of the shopping center.

One of the most complex aspects of this project was the calibration of the installation, since it could also only be done in the absence of an audience to specify the sound quality, the power and the visual and aesthetic impact on the installation. As Romain Vet explains, product manager de Senheiser France, “The installation and setup took us three nights.”. The speakers were installed on the sides of the central hall and the vertical LED panel so that they are almost invisible. With K-array we have made digital signage truly 360°”.
