Telefónica Digital and Capita sign an agreement to transform eHealth telemedicine services and expand care channels between citizens and health professionals.
The Global eHealth Unit has expanded its portfolio of services thanks to an agreement signed between Telefónica Digital and Capita's Healthcare Decisions Business, which will allow the creation of new channels of care between citizens and health professionals.
With this agreement, between Telefónica Digital y Capita, The aim is to promote greater independence and quality of life for patients thanks to broader access to telemedicine services..
Telefónica's capabilities to deploy and operate eHealth services, along with its innovative multichannel solutions, will be combined with Capita's support applications to offer a wide range of new eHealth services based on a cloud solution.
Capita’s Healthcare decisions business transforms healthcare decision making, with SaaS and PaaS products that support healthcare providers, to make better decisions in patient care and enable people to improve their health and well-being.
The system will help health professionals and citizens to determine the symptoms of any disease safely and direct users to the most appropriate point of social and health care at all times.. The infrastructure, clinical contents, Contact center technology and services will be adapted to local needs and applied to different areas of assistance provision such as ambulances, health coordination centers, emergency medical centers and, even, in patients' homes.

The agreement contemplates the launch of these services in various countries, with initial focus on Europe and Latin America. Telefónica will commercialize these solutions by building an ecosystem of partners and customers in each country to complement its local capabilities., as well as its operations. The first projects are already being carried out with clients in Brazil and Spain.
