Barco OSV, curved panoramic video walls for a new immersive experience in collaboration applications

OverView Seamless Videowall is Barco's new line developed to respond to the large amount of information managed in collaboration applications. Available in three models (OSV-340C, OSV-560C and OSV-790C), these screens, seamlessly designed, offer a panoramic display in curved format.

Barco has announced the OverView Seamless Videowall professional display line (ETC) oriented for collaboration applications. A curved panoramic solution that allows you to display a combination of data and video in high quality without the distraction of cracks or bevels. This solution will be one of the novelties that Barco will show at the ISE fair 2014 (pavilion 11, stand F78 y H75) which will open its doors in Amsterdam next Tuesday 4 February.

The trend towards the use of large amounts of information (Big Data) To improve decision making, higher resolution displays are required to visualize this large amount of data in the most optimal way.. That's why, Barco has developed the OverView Seamless Videowall line (ETC), a large curved video wall that combines the advantages of using rear projection cubes (use 24×7, high uniformity and short throw distances) with Barco's advanced image processing to create a seamless panoramic video wall. This means that all information is displayed in the most efficient way, no distracting interruptions in viewing critical data.

Barco's line of OSV curved video walls meet the viewing needs of a multitude of applications, from control or meeting rooms to utility applications, energy and process control. As part of a complete solution, OSV systems incorporate TransForm C, an innovative controller and collaboration management system that allows content to be optimally positioned on the screen through an easy-to-use graphical interface thanks to its touch functionality.

The OSV line is available in three versions, OSV-340C, OSV-560C and OSV-790C, which offers a visualization 3,8, 6,2 y 8,5 megapixels, respectively. Sizes vary from 3,5 until 6,5 metros (of 138 a 256 inches) wide, while its height is 1,4 metros (55 inches). Its depth is 1,1 metros, where maintenance space is included which means the equipment can be placed directly on the wall.

OSV solutions integrate Barco TransForm C video wall controller and collaboration manager, a solution that allows you to freely drag and drop fonts around the screen. The sophisticated intelligence of the system and, The combination of automatically generated layout frames make the composition that best suits the user's needs and ensures optimal use of the screen surface.

Besides, Direct integration of the Barco ClickShare wireless presentation system makes it possible to view information contained on a laptop, smartphone or tablet on the video wall screen with the touch of a button. Each ClickShare feed is available in its full native resolution. Depending on configuration, Up to eight users can use ClickShare to share content on the OSV allowing for maximum collaboration.

Images are displayed on the OSV using Barco's rear projection LED lighting technology. Initially developed for video walls used in control rooms, Barco is extending this technology to other markets that can benefit from all the advantages of LED technology such as low maintenance, reduced power consumption and long lifespan. The use of DLP projection technology makes OSV systems usable 24×7 no image retention.
