Indra will supply seven Victrix virtual simulators to the Spanish Army to train soldiers
The Spanish Army barracks will have seven new Indra Victrix simulators to carry out their training. This system integrates an intelligent tactical environment that virtually recreates, on a big screen, situations that troops participating in international missions normally face.
The Ministry of Defense has awarded Indra a contract to supply seven new Victrix shooting simulators (Assault Rifle Simulators) that will be installed in different barracks and bases of the Army. The systems, that will be delivered throughout this year, will allow us to reinforce the preparation of soldiers, complementing real training.
The systems have been developed at the Center of Excellence in Security Systems (CES) of Indra in León and will join others 15 simulators that the company has already delivered to the Army in previous years. These systems have proven to be an effective training tool. Indra is one of the main simulator manufacturers in the world, having delivered 200 simulators in 23 countries and more than fifty clients.
The simulators incorporate the improvements that have been developed for the Army in recent years, among which it is worth highlighting the simulation of the new combat pistol, optimizing equipment consumption or including new exercises.
The Victrix system integrates an intelligent tactical environment that allows you to virtually recreate, on a large screen, situations that troops participating in international missions normally face. For example, it simulates moving down a street in a hostile urban environment., the establishment of a checkpoint in a city or a joint action with forces from another country. The soldier must learn to react, distinguishing dangerous situations from those that are not.
To offer the greatest possible realism, The simulator allows the soldier to use his own real weapon, adapting it with a laser and a compressed air system, which reproduces the recoil effect. This ensures that you can train with the same weapon that you will use in real operations., whether it is the H rifle&K G36 used by the Spanish Armed Forces or other commonly used weapons.
The system also allows you to set various agility and precision exercises, like those done in a shooting gallery. Among the advantages of the system, highlights the flexibility it offers the instructor to design the exercises and to determine the degree of difficulty. In addition, significantly improves the soldier's ability by allowing him to train for a greater number of hours.
Indra's Victrix simulators will be deployed at the General Morillo Base in San Andrés de Figueirido in Pontevedra; the General Gabeiras de Ronda Barracks in Malaga; that of Santa Bárbara in Murcia; that of San Bernardo de Jaca in Huesca; that of Puerto Rosario de Fuerteventura; that of Hoya Fría in Tenerife; and at the General Almirante Base, in Valencia.
