The team in charge of its management was looking for an audio and lighting system that could be used with various types of shows and, from an audio point of view, They wanted the equipment that frequently appears on the riders, the technical specifications of the artists. Bostjan Konic, the KSL Studio, He joined the project to contribute his knowledge of lighting and sound, and provide the equipment that best adapts to the requirements of the rooms.
“The entire audio system was supplied as a complete system, that is to say, speakers, subgraves, electronics and amplifiers, and we opt for the solutions of d&b Audiotechnik”, Konic explained
This center has rooms: Komunna. The first has a surface of 743 square meters and a capacity of 932 visitors standing or up 500 sitting, in various configurations that adapt to specific acts, mainly concerts, but also theater shows and film screenings.
For your part, the Komuna room, which is located below, has a surface of 205 square meters and a capacity of up to 200 visitors standing or 120 seated for conferences and experiential events.
In the Katedrala room, An audio system has been installed consisting of two line arrays flown to the left and right of the stage, and each includes six V8 speakers and two V12 speakers from d&b. Also included is a cluster of one V8 and two V12s hanging in the center of the stage. For the serious, there are eight d J-Sub subwoofers&b located under the stage and there are four Q10 speakers for the side fills. The audio system in the main area of the venue uses a total of fifteen D12 amplifiers from d&b.
“We had a problem with the Katedrala room, because its shape is circular and, therefore, not good acoustically. We try to avoid all the usual problems that are usually incurred with this type of space by adjusting the angles and sound testing for two days and, in the end, “We found the perfect spots to place the speakers”, Recuerda Konic.
In the Komuna room, a stack of three Q1 speakers from d has been installed&b and three Q-Sub subwoofers on each side, together with the D6 amplifiers of d&b Audiotechnik.
“Our goal with this project was to show other Slovenian concert halls that everyone should install a good sound system because it really makes a difference.”. In my opinion, the audio system that has been provided to us&b audiotechnik goes far beyond what most Slovenian venues can currently offer. It has been installed to last and will be there for the next five or ten years. The system is very easy to understand, plugs in and works, and it is portable and lightweight. Can include any number of boxes, that can be hung without problems with the weight”, añade Konic.
