Brian & Barry merges fashion and technology in his Milan store with 'on demand' sound and digital signage as protagonists

The Brian fashion store chain & Barry was founded in 1986 when the Carlo brothers, Claudio and Roberto Zaccardi opened their first store in Monza (Milan) with a philosophy focused on the multi-brand concept. The firm now has 22 stores spread across northern Italy. However, the facilities they have in Piazza San Babila in Milan, the Palacio Via Durini 28, They have become the company's flagship store.
This palace was designed in the years 50 by architect Giovanni Muzio and Brian & Barry has kept its sumptuous façade intact. Only the giant video screen that occupies all the windows on the first floor, discover the technological content present in the structure.

Custom audio with Ecler

The design and installation of this audio solution has been carried out by Daniel Colzani of Elemedia Sistemi Elettronici Integrati, along with I exhibit SPA, importer and distributor of products Ecler in Italy.
For the areas dedicated to catering, it was decided to use a ceiling installation, without giving up the quality and power requirements demanded by the project. The Ecler Nest106 speakers have been ideal in this case, installed in groups of four units. Also due to design requirements, the front grilles have been eliminated.. In this way the cluster acquires a modern appearance where all the technology contained in these speakers is displayed..
Nest106 clusters are powered by an HZA 4-120F stage, with Flexipower technology, allowing you to combine power outputs. All systems deployed on various levels of the building are managed by Mimo programmable digital matrices 88, 13 total units, along with 14 WP-Touch panels that perform remote control functions. To carry out this project, they have been installed 64 Nest106 equipment and 5 100V HZA 4-120F multichannel line amplifiers.
Digital signage solution
The display solution for this building has been made with Samsung technology and consists of two gigantic video walls installed in the stores and the transformation of the 17 first floor windows on digital signage screens.
The firm in charge of carrying out this installation has been M-Cube which has provided a complete solution comprising the digital signage platform, the installation of video walls inside and outside the store, and the creation of content. He has also been in charge of programming and managing the digital signage network, based on the program Scala5.
The most spectacular part of this installation is found on the outside., in the 17 first floor screens that form a complete digital signage solution. Each window has been equipped with 9 Full HD monitors 46 inch Samsung 460UT-2 arranged in a row of three monitors long by 3 height monitors. The total number of monitors amounts to 153, covering a total area of 102 m².
The high level of technology is also evident inside.. When customers come in, In the hall there is a video wall of 3,60 meters by one meter composed of six Samsung 460UT-2 monitors 46 inches.
