New software, firmware and API for Matrox Maevex H.264 encoders/decoders
Plus new features including recording and failsafe, Matrox Maevex API provides AV integrators and OEMs with a complete IP video solution, cost effective and multifunction.
Matrox Graphics version is available 1.03 firmware for Matrox Maevex encoding/decoding devices 5100 H.264 Series enabling new AV over IP features that can be controlled with PowerStream software 1.03 latest or new API.
Matrox Maevex PowerStream software provides administrators with an intuitive user interface to remotely discover and manage their entire network of Maevex encoders and decoders and adjust individual device parameters. Software version 1.03 latest allows integrators to take advantage of new Maevex functionality enabled by Maevex firmware and software 1.03, including AV over IP recording.
New Maevex API Gives Software Developers and Third-Party OEMs the Full Feature Pack; facilitates the development of custom Maevex control software and integration with existing AV control systems, Ideal for a wide range of IP video applications as a collaboration video wall, education and training, manufacturing and automation, process control and digital signage.
Among other advantages, its ability to capture, Encode and record MP4 files on NAS or shared network drive in resolutions up to Full HD 1,080p60 with no latency in transferring audio and video signals, providing IT administrators with a high-performance, cost-effective recording solution for medical applications, legal, of transport, military and surveillance.
Failsafe playback ensures that previously recorded digital signage content will automatically play back on screen in the event of a loss of network connection interrupting streaming from a Maevex encoder, thereby eliminating blank screens.
The RS-232 conduit allows communication with a bidirectional link of 1 a 1 between the encoder and decoder and allows third-party control software to be connected to the encoder to communicate commands and confirm the execution of downstream devices. For example, Screens connected to the set-top box can be turned off to extend lamp life.
User-defined RTSP addresses allow you to conveniently list and better manage video streaming destinations by configuring port and path selection. Enabling the DPMS monitor has the advantage of taking advantage of the energy saving mode of the DPMS displays when no transmission is detected on the decoder.
Ron Berty, director of business development at Matrox Graphics, “The addition of all these top-notch features makes Maevex and the PowerStream software suite even more versatile.”, as well as providing an coding solution, Full H.264 decoding and recording that's easy for AV and digital signage integrators to implement. AV control software developers and equipment manufacturers can also take advantage of all the new features of Maevex from their own systems and applications with the API and its sample code..
