The Glasgow control center manages the city's security from Eyevis video walls
A video wall of 12×2 and others 16 More than different configurations make up the display system, Composed of Eyevis screens and Peerless-AV mounts, that the Glasgow control center has implemented to manage the more than 440 cameras of your CCTV system.
Los Commonwealth Games 2014, The MTV Video Music Awards and BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend have been some of the most relevant events that have caused the Scottish city of Glasgow to have a large concentration of visitors this year..
The new control center, inaugurated at the beginning of years, has been key to the development of these events since it has allowed us to guarantee security and provide a better service to citizens.. Emergency services are managed from these facilities, traffic cameras and surveillance of the city's businesses. A project in which security and traffic cameras have been combined in the same control center, allowing the monitoring of hundreds of images provided by the CCTV camera system that offers real-time information to operations personnel, allowing planning to react more quickly before emergency situations.
In this Glasgow operations center (GOC) technology plays a fundamental role, introduced by the hand of Eyevis which has provided a visualization solution composed of 85 LCD screens 55 inches installed in different configurations that show live footage of the 440 cameras integrated into closed circuit television (CCTV) from Glasgow city center.
Operations Center
The integration of this visualization project has been carried out by the company specialized in AV installations, SSUK, who has been in charge of designing, supply and install the 85 Eyevis LCD screens.
A 12-inch video wall has been implemented in the main room of the GOC.×2 composed of 24 screens, In addition, others have been installed 16 video walls inside the control room in configurations of 2×2, 3×2 y 4×2, y, There are also some additional individual screens.
This was a project that posed great challenges in many ways since the building had been completely renovated so that it fulfilled the functions for which it was going to be used.. This required the plants to be reinforced and a complete renovation of all systems., accessories and furniture.
When installing the screens, SSUK had to look for a partner, Peerless AV, to provide him with the supports he needed given the characteristics of the room. The control center is designed with glass panels so attaching the video walls to the wall was complicated. To solve this problem, Peerless-AV supplied its floor supports that offer the security that was sought.
