The Italian spectacular lighting company Clay Paky has become part of the German multinational Osram, fruit of the acquisition agreement signed last August and which has now become effective, that reinforces its position in the professional stage and entertainment lighting systems environment.

Osram, specialized in LED and laser light systems, has taken another step in its business focus in order to strengthen its position in the professional spectacular lighting and entertainment market with the acquisition of the private equity company Clay Packs, based in the Italian town of Bergamo.

The Clay Paky purchase agreement was signed before the death of Pasquale Quadri, founder and CEO of this company, which from now on will be part of Osram's specialized lighting business unit, in which the screen backlighting is also integrated, optical and automotive.

In this sense, the CEO of the German multinational, Wolfgang Dehen, has stated in a statement that “Clay Paky is a selective addition by our company that improves the position of the specialized lighting business unit in a highly attractive market.”.

Clay Paky Systems, distributed in Spain by Stonex, include moving heads, LED, projectors, light cannons, etc. who are present at numerous concerts, clubs, theaters and entertainment applications and creation of atmospheres and light effects.
