Integrated into the Hospital2050 health innovation plan promoted by the Xunta de Galicia, Televés will develop the so-called 'smart room' for the Galician Health Service (Sergas), after winning the public tender called by this institution and a pioneering initiative in Spain under the model of public purchase of innovative technology (CPTI) in the healthcare field.

The 'smart room' is part of a project integrated into the Hospital2050 health innovation plan of the Council of Galicia to create the future model of health administration from the premises of security, efficiency, sustainability and the use of new technologies.

As winner of the public tender for the development of the 'smart room', summoned by the Galician Health Service (Galician Health Service – Sergas), the spanish company Televes The objectives will be to improve the safety of patients and professionals; speed up the times of hospital processes and enable their traceability; improve communication between the patient and their environment with healthcare personnel, and optimize the comfort and privacy of hospitalized patients.

Sergas-Galician Health ServiceThis project, with an endowment close to 900.000 euros and an execution period of one year, provides for the automation of the registration of vital signs and its integration into the electronic medical record, as well as facilitate the management and operation of clinical devices.

This is a pioneering initiative in Spain to apply new technologies to clinical management under the model of public purchasing of innovative technology. (CPTI), and co-financed by 80% by FEDER funds.

To make this model possible, Televés will supply Sergas with a system based on a signal concentrator, capable of reading data from multiple sensors, that will identify the patient without the possibility of errors and measure clinical constants (periodic and aperiodic physiological parameters, biochemical determinations, contextual data, etc.) and environmental (temperature, humidity, brightness or noise level).

These data will be automatically incorporated into the patient's history and can be consulted by medical and nursing staff in real time through the computer network., hospital screens or mobile devices.

The 'smart room' will improve not only the patient identification process, medication administration, the traceability of clinical measurements carried out or the exchange of information between physicians, but that the health personnel themselves will be able to dedicate more time to attending to the needs of the sick and will have new resources to involve the patient themselves in their personal care..
