Planar continues to bet on 4K with a multi-touch screen of 98 inches

The UltraRes 98” Touch is Planar's latest proposal in ultra-high definition display systems. A large format screen with resolution 3840 x 2160 which incorporates a touch panel 32 simultaneous touches.

Planar Systems continues to bet on ultra high definition and has launched a touch version of its UltraRes 98” large format display system, which was presented in June at the last edition of InfoComm 2014, announcement that was advanced by Digital AV Magazine.

According to its manufacturer, The UltraRes 98” Touch is the largest touch LCD screen on the market with 4K resolution and completes Planar's UHD line. This display combines a multi-touch screen, multi-user experience and native Ultra HD resolution. These features allow you to interact across a large surface area where clear images are displayed., with great detail and precision.

The UltraRes 98” Touch is designed to be used in a wide variety of collaboration applications such as meeting or control rooms.. It is also ideal for interactive digital signage solutions that require eye-catching content that involves the viewer.. Besides, offers great reliability to install in public spaces.

Planar UltraRes 98” Touch is a 32 simultaneous touch points and 500 nits of brightness offering 2D and 3D viewing. Their 98 inches diagonal feature a seamless touch surface; that is to say, no bezel break.

With a native 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160, This display is presented as a comprehensive single display solution for applications requiring a video wall. A display system designed for commercial applications that require high resolution and need to capture the audience's attention from a long viewing distance.

The UltraRes 98” Touch uses the latest generation of passively cooled LED backlight technology, achieving maximum energy efficiency.. Consume less than 0,5 watts of power in standby mode and incorporates a silent design fan free of background noise.

Planar ERO technology (Extended Ruggedness and Optics) provides greater protection to the touch screen for when it is installed in areas of high public traffic and for applications that will be used for a long period of time. The glass that protects the LCD screen also improves optical performance and touch precision.

The UltraRes 98” Touch has been built with an elegant narrow bezel design and, thanks to the Planar Profile mounting system, can be mounted close to the wall, leaving almost no space.
