After the retirement of Hiromi Taba, Epson's board has elected Kazuyoshi Yamamoto as European president and head of the EMEA business.

Yamamoto, president Epson EuropeEpson has announced that its European president and chief business officer for EMEA, Hiromi Taba, will retire in June 2015 after a career of more than 30 years in the company.

From 25 June, Kazuyoshi Yamamoto will succeed him as president of Epson Europe, that with his 54 years has served as vice president at Epson Europe for the past year and has worked in the group for 15 years.

Before joining Epson Europe in November 2008, Taba was Director of Marketing and Operations at Epson Sales Japan. Seiko joined Epson Corporation in 1983, in the market research and planning department, and progressed in the company assuming various positions and roles of responsibility. In 2008, Taba appointed president and COO of Epson Europe B.V.

Yamamoto brings extensive experience to the position, having developed senior management roles at Epson Indonesia and Russia. Before reaching Epson, directed sales and marketing departments for other prominent companies in the technology sector, among which are Sharp, Sony y Panasonic.

As European president of the company, Yamamoto will report to the headquarters company in Japan, Seiko Epson Corporation, and will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing organization for EMEA, leading the development and execution of the group's strategies for the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
