Ventuz personalizes Asean presidential lunch with real-time graphics
A presidential table, equipped with hidden screens equipped with Ventuz graphic software and RFID technology, has been the protagonist of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the creation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, around which its eleven members have gathered to share a lunch, in which each dish offered the diner information and animations about what they were going to taste in real time.
On the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the creation of the Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), The presidents of the member countries held a commemorative conference in the South Korean city of Busan, which later concluded with a private lunch around a table equipped with technological systems.
For this installation, made by the South Korean creative agency Eric C&C, based in Seoul, A solution was created for hidden screens on the table, equipped with graphics software from the German manufacturer sucker, that were powered by RFID.
So that the monitors were not easily visible on the large round table where the meal took place, the agency covered the entire surface using traditional Korean paper, called Hanji, handmade with mulberry paper inner bark (a tree native to the area), that simulated an uninterrupted plain on the table.
While they tasted a menu composed of seven dishes adapted to the dietary preferences of each president, diners could view real-time dynamic content of each dish on the table, to which an RFID chip had been added with personalized information for each of them.
The eleven presidents of the ASEAN member countries (Brunei, Camboya, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Filipinas, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Republic of South Korea) showed their satisfaction with the technological initiative.
This audiovisual and personalized lunch, with a total of 77 individual graphic presentations based on Ventuz graphics software integrated into the displays, It was expanded to some more dishes due to the express desire of the diners and its innovative application.
