BIT Experience 2015 presents the panel of experts who will trace the trends of the audiovisual sector
Organized by Ifema, in collaboration with the online newspaper Panorama Audiovisual, The BIT Experience Conferences have become one of the main European events in the audiovisual sector due to the high profile of the experts who participate in plenary sessions, round tables and workshops.
BIT Experience 2015 will take the pulse of the audiovisual industry in a new edition organized by IFEMA, in collaboration with the online newspaper Panorama Audiovisual, which will take place at the Feria de Madrid North Convention Center. 17 al 18 next June. A total of seventy prominent professionals will share their experiences, impressions and will try to draw the lines of the future that will mark this industry in terms of content, technology and business refers.
‘And (video)happy world. Profound changes are sweeping the world of broadcasting, are we prepared?' Under this suggestive title with a nod to the novel by the English writer Aldous Huxley (‘A Brave New World’, 1932), Andy Townend (in the attached image) will open the BIT Experience days 2015 (Wednesday 17 June, at 10 in the morning in the North Auditorium of Feria de Madrid) in which it will address the dizzying changes that the audiovisual sector is experiencing and its impact on economic and social models. Considered one of the great international experts in digital television, Townend piloted the migration to digital television in the United Kingdom and Australia.
On the morning of the first day, spectrum management will have special weight, with the participation in two plenary sessions of Elena Puigrefagur, EBU senior engineer, and Josep Ventosa, Business Unit Director of Cellnex Telecom. Later, operator representatives, Digital platforms and technology providers will debate in a round table on new forms of television distribution in an IPTV framework.
In the afternoon, the digitization of content with the amortization of assets, preservation and safety of material; aerial production from drones or the role of YouTube in the industry as it turns ten years old, plenary sessions will focus.
The second day of Bit Experience 2015 (Thursday 18 June) will begin with a round table, in which experts will share their experiences on the new broadcast possibilities derived from the application of DVB-T2 technologies, HEVC y 4K. Next, The possibilities and challenges of LTE Broadcast technology will be analyzed in a plenary session by Salvador Inarejos, engagement manager Tv & Media in Ericsson Iberia.
Three of the hottest issues in the sector: big data, cloud and live production via IP, will be addressed in a plenary session in the morning, which will also be completed with a round table in which new forms of production and consumption of audiovisual content will be discussed..
For the Thursday afternoon session of BIT Experience, an analysis will be carried out on the offer of digital cinema cameras currently on the market. The impact of connected television will be addressed by the technical general director of ZenithMedia, Eduardo Madinaveitia. The 'father' of Pocoyó and an expert in branding content will close these days, Victor M. López, CEO of Anima.
Workhops
During these two intense days, BIT Experience 2015 has scheduled a good number of workshops with a very dynamic format open to the interaction and participation of attending professionals.
The future of collaborative work, the HbbTv standard 2.0, management of IP and SDVN workflows, the contribution from 3G/4g links and Ka band, immersive multidimensional sound, QoE in IP production, the best optics for each production, advertising and animation production, the use of transmedia, the high dynamic range, video as a marketing tool, the new generation of MAM, accessibility on television, coding and transport over IP, how to light and a meeting with the director of photography Álex Catalán, winner of a Goya for 'La isla minimal' are just some of the workshops included in the program.
Finally, highlight that Avid companies, Crosspoint-Grass Valley, Eurocom and Sony will have permanent demo rooms.
