SMART Technologies updates its Smart NB15 collaborative learning software

Four activities and two new themes are some of the new features that Notebook includes 15.1, first update of SMART Technologies' NB15 collaborative software.

SMART Notebook 15.1

SMART Technologies, whose brand distributes in Spain and Portugal Crambo Visuals, has developed the first update of its NB15 collaborative learning software. SMART Notebook 15.1 comes to interactive whiteboards with four new activities included in Lesson Activity Builder (LAB), released with Notebook 2015.

The new additions follow the format of many computer-based tests and provide teachers with easy ways to use their own content in engaging lessons.. As an addition to these new activities, Notebook 15.1 includes two brand new themes: an underwater reef and a scientific laboratory.

Shout it Out gives students a voice and validates their ideas by sharing them with the class through their mobile devices where they can add words and images to lessons. If they attribute it optionally, teachers can better understand each contribution. This activity replaces the XC Collaboration add-on whose support will end next 1 November.

SMART Notebook 15

The Matching activity presents images and concepts in two categories for students to relate and demonstrate their knowledge of a topic and identify similarities with others..

Through the Rank order activity, Students analyze a series of concepts and synthesize them in the correct sequence, while teachers can practice and reinforce ideas around a list of objects.

Finally, Fill in the blank focuses on reading comprehension and the discovery of clues within a context through words that are placed in the blank spaces of a sentence. This encourages reading and assimilation of texts.
