MMD and Philips unveil a complete line of screens with SoftBlue technology
The new screens equipped with Philips SoftBlue technology, that protects the eyes and reduces eye fatigue by mitigating the impact caused by exposure to blue light, are integrated into a range for the professional environment, P-Line, available in versions of 22 y 24 inches, and domestic, E-line, in format of 22, 24 y 27 inches.
MMD, with brand license for the manufacture of monitors Philips, has presented its new screens based on SoftBlue technology, that protects eyesight and reduces eye fatigue by mitigating the impact of blue light exposure, without sacrificing fidelity or quality in the original color. Screens that will have a range for professionals (P-Line) and another for the home (E-Line) and?, as has already been advanced in Digital AV Magazine, will be presented in Berlin, in IFA 2015.
These new displays with SoftBlue technology take a different approach to eliminating harmful blue light. In contrast to filter-based methods, either with a glass in front of the screen or with anti-blue light lenses, These Philips displays retain the fidelity of the original color.
Solutions based on filters usually tint the image yellow., detracting from the viewing experience or in the worst case, such as in medical imaging applications that depend on color fidelity, they make the screen useless.
SoftBlue monitors mitigate the impact of blue light exposure at the source by eliminating blue light emissions at potentially harmful wavelengths at the upper end of the shortwave spectrum., and changing the peak length of the harmful wave 450 a 460 nm. This reduces blue light by more than 90% without sacrificing the fidelity and quality of the original color.
The five new monitors with SoftBlue technology that MMD has unveiled have IPS-ADS panels, for viewing angles of 178 Extra wide grades with sharp images and vivid colors, with W-Led backlight technology and Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. They incorporate stereo speakers VGA inputs (analog), DVI-D (digital, HDCP), MHL-HDMI (digital, HDCP), Separate Sync and Green Sync.
In the P-Line range, composed of a model of 21,5 inches (221P6EPYEB) and another of 23,8 (241P6EPJEB), It is designed especially for professionals and, plus SoftBlue, incorporates Philips Flicker-Free technology to help reduce eye fatigue, allowing you to regulate the brightness and reducing flickering for a more comfortable viewing. With the SmartErgo base, screens can tilt, Rotate and adjust to any height and angle that best suits the user.
Both P-Line displays also include the professional-grade version of SmartImage technology, with dynamic image contrast optimization, color saturation and sharpness to adapt to each use, plus a saving mode for big energy savings.
