On the occasion of the COP21, from November 28 to December 3 the Eiffel Tower will launch the initiative ' One Heart one Tree'. Anyone who comes to the Parisian city can plant a virtual tree, from your smartphone, and see how this action becomes part of an actual reforestation project.
From November 28 to December 3, the operation ' One Heart one Tree' (a heart a tree) will propose to the visitors who come to Paris plant a virtual tree, through their smartphones, at the Eiffel Tower and, thus, get it planted a tree of truth in different parts of the world.
This is an initiative conceived by the digital artist Naziha Mestaoui and is part of the artistic manifestations that take place on the occasion of the World Climate Conference (COP21) that is organized in the French capital.
For this project has been designed an application that records the heartbeats of participants and will be is signal that allow the seed to become a virtual tree whose image will be shown for a few seconds in the iconic Parisian monument. Also, also will be displayed briefly the name of participants.
The monetary return will be reflected in the fact that for each virtual tree will be paid, depending on the species, between 3 and 10 and this money will be used in reforestation projects which are managed by the French Association Pur Projet. On the other hand, participants will receive a certificate and you can follow the evolution of your tree.
One Heart, One Tree
'One Heart, One Tree' is a project that is part of the spectacular artistic initiatives that are going to develop in Paris on the occasion of the celebration of the COP21, which include 'Human Energy'.
This show will take place between 5 and 12 December and the Eiffel Tower will become the headquarters of human energy. An initiative which will be borne by the French artist Yann takes and which will propose that the public becomes 'human generators'. "I seek to create the greatest work of art that has ever so participatory character."
The aim is that every citizen becomes a human generator, whether walking, dancing, rowing, cycling or using any type of device that produces power and that will be located at the base of the Eiffel Tower. Thanks to the energy accumulated by these human 'producers', every time this iconic monument will illuminate.
Another spectacular initiative will take place from 20 to 28 November. A fresco in the shape of a giant sphere of 10 meters in diameter will be suspended between the first and the second floor of the great tower. A work that will lead to the signing of a great American artist of the 'street art' whose name still not been released.
