dLive manages the sound of the Promessas gospel festival in Sao Paulo
Allen's new dLive digital mixing system & Heath has been selected to manage the FOH, the monitors and the broadcast of the Promessas festival, recently held in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and which they have attended 30.000 spectators.
Organized by the largest television network in Brazil, TV Globo, The Promessas Festival is an event held annually in Sao Paulo and is dedicated entirely to gospel music., which in its latest edition featured prominent artists such as Aline Barros on its line-up., Fernandinho, Other Valadao, PC Baruk, Brown Karla, Damaris, Livres, Rose Nascimento, Cubed, DJ PV y Ton Carfi.
The festival included the rental company Gabisom, who has used the dlive system Allen & Heath (whose products are sold in the Iberian market Lexon Distribution), composed of an S7000 control surface, the largest in the series, both in FOH and in monitors, with two DM64 MixRacks, to provide live audio and submissions for broadcast.
As Kadu Melo explains, product manager de A&H in South America (in the image), “There were several engineers from the bands and PA companies working on the event, and this was the first time they saw the dlive in action. All of them have agreed on the same opinion about this Allen system & Heath: which is a control surface that is very easy to work with and offers incredible quality sound. They have also been impressed with the aesthetics and design”.
dLive is an advanced digital mixing system based on an ultra-flexible architecture, a powerful FPGA processing core and a multitude of expansion options, network control and connectivity, featuring the intuitive Harmony user interface that includes gesture control.
The 96k/96bit XCVI Core processing core has the capacity to 128 inputs with full processing and 16 stereo processing returns, with a total of 160 inputs for mixing and an architecture of 64 Fully user-configurable mix buses.
This system also incorporates the DEEP processing package, including graphic EQs, compressors, multiband compressors and dynamic EQ, along with the 16 Virtual processing racks with Allen effects emulations & Heath.
Following the concept already used previously in other of its digital mixing systems, dLive has an architecture where the mixing rack (MixRack) and control surface are separated. The dLive system processing is housed in the MixRack, available in three formats (DM32, DM48 y DM64) and three control surfaces, all compatible, with common configuration and show file compatibility.
