Hospitality Innovation Planet: new innovation and trends fair for the horeca sector

Organized by Ifema and Nebext, This professional event will open its doors from 19 al 21 February 2017 at Feria de Madrid in order to bring together and promote new business models, products and services for hotels, restaurants and bars.

The new professional fair aimed at the hospitality sector – Hospitality Innovation Planet (HIP) -arises from the agreement between Ifema y Unlucky to promote and co-organize in Spain “an event at the level of the opportunities and demands that the horeca sector must face”. For this, A broad and in-depth study has been developed with references from this industry to identify their needs and challenges, the result of which is this annual fair in which to find new solutions, teams, products and business models with which to improve the competitiveness of companies.

This new fair initiative, which will take place 19 al 21 February 2017 at Ifema – Madrid Fair, means the evolution of Horeq, the contest that until now represented this industry in Madrid, and that after a good trajectory in its last editions, it was limited in its capacity for growth given its coincidence with FITUR.

Hospitality Innovation Planet (HIP) will thus become the center of innovation, an event focused on trends and new business models. An event with three main areas: Hotel World, Restaurant Trends y Bar & Co, and a conference on the transformation of the sector to improve competitiveness and face new challenges called Hospitality. 4.0.

For the general director of Ifema, Eduardo López-Puertas, “HIP comes to provide a high-value response to the horeca sector, which is strategic for Spain and which must be supported much more. That is why Ifema takes a step forward in this direction, in collaboration with an expert partner, both in the production of events and in this field of activity”.

For his part, Manuel Bueno, HIP director, points out that “the alliance with Ifema represents a double boost: on the one hand, knowledge of the tourism sector of the institution with events such as Fitur, and on the other, “the magnificent infrastructure and air connections with the main tourist destinations in Spain and internationally”.
