Among London's most iconic concert venues, The Scala room has updated its audio system with digital mixing equipment from the manufacturer Allen & Heath for control of this enclosure.

Located in the central London neighborhood of Kings Cross, the concert hall Scala has welcomed important groups over the years; from Coldplay and The Foo Fighters to Ray Lamontagne and Sheryl Crow. Besides, It has become a mecca for London's nightclub community and is a venue where genres such as drum'n'bass regularly find their space., reggae, rock or garage.

As part of a recent upgrade to your audio system, those responsible for Scala have opted for a dLive S Class digital mixing system from Allen & Heath (which in the Spanish market sells Audio-Technica Iberia) for room sound control.

blankThe installation, which has a dLive S5000 surface that works together with a DM48 mixing rack, It also uses a Waves V3 audio network card that allows multitrack recording - based on laptops. (until 128 clues)-, of live events over a single Cat cable.

In turn, The inclusion of an iP8 remote controller increases system flexibility through its ability to control, together with Allen Director software & Heath, the dLive DM48 modular mixing rack, thus achieving an ultra compact configuration.

Now, Scala also houses an Allen digital mixer & Heath GLD-80 for monitoring tasks - chosen in part for its compact design, ease of use and flexible functionality- and a professional DJ mixer model Xone:PX5.

As David Preston explains, Scala room engineer, “although it is a very powerful and sophisticated system, dLive is at the same time very easy to use, which is very important in a place like Scala, where we received visits from many engineers.
