The European Forum for the Advancement of the Media (FAME) will hold its next annual meeting next November in Malaga, at the Digital Content Hub, coinciding with the third edition of the 4To Summit. At the event he will reveal his conclusions to the attendees.
FAME is made up of a working group on Ultra High Definition (UHD), virtual reality and other new technologies. It was created in 2013 for the
initiative of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU-UER) and for the DIF (Digital Forum for Interoperability), which represents pay television operators in Europe.
The two co-presidents of FAME are Dr. Hans Hoffman, responsible at the EBU-UER for setting technological standards, y Stephan Heimbecher, technical and innovation director of Sky in Germany.
Hoffmann and Heimbecher will present the conclusions of the FAME UHD working group at the 4K Summit17, that will meet the days 8 y 9 November at the Malaga Digital Content Hub, where the most important international event on Ultra High Definition is held. Besides, Hoffmann and Heimbecher will moderate a debate examining the barriers and keys to achieving success and the implementation of UHD in Europe.
Speakers, brands and attendees from more than 20 countries will meet in Malaga to discuss the advances of Ultra High Definition worldwide and share experiences from a technological and content point of view.
“The holding of this FAME meeting in Malaga is another example of the consolidation of the 4K Summit as the reference event for Ultra High Definition worldwide”, comments Ricardo Medina, CEO of Medina Media, organizer of this forum, which in its first two editions was held in Seville.
