Telemadrid renews its News set by installing a large-format curved video wall
The implementation of this screen of more than 20 meters in length and 50m² in surface, it is part of the project to modernize audiovisual technology carried out by the television network.. Vitelsa has been in charge of the engineering and execution of the equipment project for the RTVAM set.
The Autonomous Radio Television Corporation of Madrid (RTVAM) has carried out a renewal of its corporate image and information programs. In this project, it has opted for a strong modernization of the audiovisual technology present on the main set of Informativos de la Ciudad de la Imagen to increase live production. The past 18 September, the different editions of the Telenoticias program and the Buenos Días Madrid program were produced from the new Informativos set, one of the most modern in Europe.
The company Vitelsa has been in charge of the engineering and execution of the audiovisual equipment project for the RTVAM set. The main technological element of the project highlights the implementation of a giant curved screen with more than 20 meters in length, that delimits the perimeter of the new set where different editions of news programs are produced throughout the day, current affairs programs and talk shows for the regional channels of Telemadrid and the other.
This large video wall has more than 50 m² of curved surface and is divided into three segments. The main one located behind the information table and two lateral ones that serve as support for the different sections..
The identification and evaluation of the different alternatives on the market allowed us to finally select large format LED technology as the optimal solution for the project., in terms of image quality, durability and space.
The audiovisual equipment selected for the new set contributes to a rapid adaptation of the studio decoration to the needs of each section, allowing optimal visualization of the graphic line of each program and facilitating an agile transition between them to allow maximum use of the study.
To increase the versatility of the studio, the side segments of the screen have been mounted on robust motorized supports that facilitate the automated movement of the screen displays according to the requirements of the different sections of the programs produced..
The mobility of these screens allows, besides, their movement to other nearby sets, enabling the optimization of their use as large visual supports in other Telemadrid programs.
Within the framework of the project, new HD video electronics have also been implemented to manage, synchronization and distribution of the multiple channels coming from Telemadrid's graphics and signal systems, facilitating a complete integration of the new equipment in the production processes of the chain.
Finally, and in order to accelerate the adoption of the new technology by the Telemadrid technical team, Vitelsa has held different technical sessions in which training has been offered on the use, configuration and adjustments of the new equipment.
