AOC and MMD are committed to higher resolution and format for their new monitors
In 4K resolution the new features are represented by the Philips 328P6VJEB, 322P8V and BDM4037UW; while the 328E9Q models, 328E8QJAB5 and 349XFJEW stand out for their curved format. In the AOC catalog, design is the protagonist with Estudio F.A. Porsche as a partner. In the professional environment, the bet is focused on the Q2790PQU, designed for demanding environments.
AOC y MMD have announced the news that they will launch on the market in the coming months as well as their positioning in the Spanish market. According to Agustín de los Frailes,, country manager de MMD/AOC Iberia, These brands have consolidated their growth in this market and maintain the second position. “The AOC MMD group has maintained constant growth during 5 years, obtaining good results with both brands nationwide. Both brands are consolidating in a very competitive segment, growing by 6% more than the average of the monitor market”.
The sale of monitors in Spain has experienced growth over the last four years. The trend follows the line of past years: Higher resolution and larger formats.
All monitor segments older than 23 inches have seen market share growth, being that of 24 the one that has experienced the greatest increase in the last year and that of 27 has had a growth of 11%. “Philips and AOC have positioned themselves as leaders in the sale of 24” monitors for two consecutive semesters”, Agustín de los Frailes clarifies.
Regarding technologies, The Spanish market has a greater demand for high resolution screens, paying special attention to the design, connectivity and image quality, as well as sustainability.
4K and curved formats become standard
Regarding product news, the high-resolution MMD catalog has been expanded with three new 4K monitors: Philips 328P6VJEB, 322P8V and BDM4037UW.
The first stands out for its ergonomics since it allows it to be adapted both in height, as in twist and rotation. The Philips 322P8V display features a 32 inches and incorporates HDR technology to offer an improvement in image quality and reproduction.
The third addition is the Philips BDM4037UW, a monitor 40 inches with curved screen and Ultra Wide Color technology that allows you to offer more vivid and sharp colors.
Curved panels offer a sensation of total immersion and are becoming more and more popular. Aware of this trend, MMD has added three new panels with this format: Philips 328E9Q, 328E8QJAB5 and 349XFJEW.
The 328E9Q is designed with a borderless display on three sides to improve transition in multi-monitor environments.. For your part, The Philips 328E8QJAB5 offers wider viewing angles with a size of 32 inches, and the ultra widescreen 349XFJEW, with his 34 inches, offers more vivid images thanks to the CrystalClear technology of its Ultra Wide QHD panel.
Besides, USB-C type ports have become a bet for the future and new technological devices have begun to incorporate them. This is a connection that allows data to be transferred, network and energy at high speed from the same port and connection.
The Philips 258B6QUEB monitor includes this type of connectivity. Thus, this new panel 25 inches can be used with any type of computer, peripheral or even console with USB-C.
AOC bets on design
AOC has partnered with the design house, Studio F.A.. Porsche to design displays such as the PDS241 and PDS271 that offer 24 y 27 inches respectively, on an asymmetrical support that surrounds the wiring to leave the connections in a single external box.
Besides, They also have a prototype of the Porsche Design monitor 2, also designed by the same studio. A nearly borderless display with an ergonomic stand, in a futuristic way and support in three points.
