Powersoft technology stars in the new Rose in Rio sound system

Equaphon, distributor of this manufacturer in Argentina, has installed the audio system in this modern nightclub that has just opened its doors in Buenos Aires.

Rose in Rio, a new space for nightlife in Buenos Aires, located on the banks of the Río de la Plata, in the area known as Costa Salguero, It has a modern sound system, according to the sound project carried out entirely by Equaphon, distributor of Powersoft in Argentina and Uruguay.

“The owners of this nightclub and club have entrusted us with various projects in their centers for many years., and in the case of Rose in Rio they called us when the work began. That was very good, since it allowed us to interact in another way”, explains Carlos Maiocchi, general manager of Equaphon.

For this reason, This company presented a project according to the requirements of the owners of Rose in Río and determine the best sound system, your installation, adjustment and training in the use of the system. In addition to high audio quality and that it adapts to the room environment, It also had to provide uniform coverage throughout the space, as well as individual level control of the different areas to adjust the system depending on the distribution of the public.

In that sense, The biggest difficulty was the different ceiling heights to install the sound systems and thus cover a large audience area, whose solution was to distribute . sound sources at twelve different points, without disturbing the aesthetics, and use many amplification channels to configure all zones, with full level and equalization control.

Equaphon installed a sound system from its STS Touring Series brand (made in Argentina), composed of twenty-four Linea V10 models distributed in twelve points of the premises to cover the track and nearby areas; seis subwoofers STS Concerto SUB, located together under the DJ booth; twelve mikra4 on the two exterior terraces; two STS D10 in one of the VIP rooms of the premises, and the same number of Cantata+ for monitoring in the DJ booth.

This system has been amplified with a Powersoft X4 unit, to drive the six subwoofers, and four M50Q DSP+ETH amplifiers: three to control the twelve points of two STS Linea V10, while the fourth is responsible for amplifying the STS mikra4 and the STS D10 in the VIP area.

The rack with the amplifiers is located in an enclosure, located behind the DJ booth, which is controlled with a Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 console and CDJ-2000NXS2 players. The Armonía software is also used, with which the system was adjusted at the installation stage, as well as to equalize and align each of the twelve reinforcement points independently.
